Abandoned Billboards?
These deteriorating billboards were erected long before construction ever started. They could be seen deteriorating in the middle of a field between Merritt and Hickox in Rowlett. They are still standing and being used by advertisers today. The roadway was built right through the middle of where they stand. This image was taken in May of 2008.
